General ABU Admission Requirements For Direct Entry (DE)
Below are the general ABU Admission requirements for direct entry into Ahmadu Bello University Zaria:
• Direct entry candidates must also possess an O’level Credit grade in 5 different subjects (Including English language and mathematics).
• Candidates must have ‘A’ level/IJMB passes in two subjects that are relatively to their area of study.
• Direct entry candidates are required to purchase ABU Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
• In some cases, Direct Entry candidates will be required to have up to a particular score in JAMB to be admitted.
NOTE:
ABU also accepts two sittings result for Direct Entry candidates for admission. Thus, aspirants can choose to use more than one O’level result.
ABU BUSINESS SCHOOL DE Admission Requirements
ACCOUNTING: (1) Two ‘A’ level/IJMB Passes in Economics and Management or Accounting. (2) A Minimum Merit Pass in ABU Diploma in Accounting, Banking, Management, Islamic Banking, or Insurance.
MARKETING: (1) Two ‘A-Level /IJMB passes in Management/Social Science Subjects one of which must be Economics. (2) A Minimum Merit in ABU Diploma in Insurance, Management, Banking, or Accounting.
BANKING AND FINANCE: (1) Two ‘A-Level / IJMB passes in Management/Social Science Subjects one of which must be Economics. (2) A Minimum Merit in ABU Diploma in Insurance, Management, Banking, or Accounting.
BUSINESS MANAGEMENT: (1) Two ‘A-Level / IJMB passes in Management/Social Science Subjects one of which must be Economics. (2) A Minimum Merit in ABU Diploma in Insurance, Management, Banking, or Accounting.
ACTUARIAL SCIENCE: (1) Two ‘A-Level / IJMB passes in Management/Social Science Subjects one of which must be Economics. (2) A Minimum Merit in ABU Diploma in Insurance, Management, Banking or Accounting, Computer Science and Mathematics Education.
ECONOMICS: Two ‘A’ level /IJMB passes one of which must be Economics.
INSURANCE: (1) Two ‘A-Level / IJMB passes in Management/Social Science Subjects one of which must be Economics. (2) A Merit in ABU Diploma in Insurance, Management, Banking or Accounting.
ABU FACULTY OF ADMINISTRATION ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION: (1) Two ‘A’ level/IJMB
passes in Economics and Government/History. (2) ABU Diploma I Public Administration, LGDS and Office System Management with Minimum of Merit.
LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND DEVELOPMENT STUDIES: (1) Two ‘A’ level / IJMB passes One of which must be Government or History.
(2) ND in Public Administration or LGDS with a minimum of Lower Credit. (3) A Merit Pass in ABU Diploma in Local Government, Public Administration, and relevant courses.
