IAHS ARC Research Mobility Grant for Early Career Hydrologists in Africa (Up To £1,500)
The International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) is committed to leading hydrological science and engaging scientists worldwide, particularly in financially disadvantaged countries.
- The IAHS Africa Regional Committee (ARC) helps to achieve this by supporting and mentoring the African hydrological community through networking activities and connecting the African hydrological community with the global stage.
The IAHS ARC is pleased to announce a Research Mobility Grant for early-career hydrologists based in Africa.
This grant supports short-term visits (min. 2 weeks) to collaborating institutions within Africa to foster research collaboration, skills development, and knowledge exchange.
- Application Deadline: June 15, 2025
- Grant Amount: Up to £ 1,500 per grantee
- Mobility Period: July – December 2025
The grant can cover:
Travel: Airfare & ground transport
- Accommodation & living expenses
- Research-related costs
- Health insurance

Eligibility
- African nationals based at African institutions
- PhD students or PhD holders (within 7 years of graduation)
- Research in hydrology or a related field
The Grant Amount is up to £1,500 with a Mobility Period: July – December 2025
