The Life Spring Development Foundation (LSDF) is a Nigerian-led non-profit organization established by distinguished academics and seasoned development professionals with extensive expertise in adolescent reproductive health and youth economic empowerment. 

  • In response to the global movement for strengthen local leadership in Africa’s development, LSDF plays a critical role in Nigeria’s reproductive health landscape, traditionally dominated by international actors, by leveraging local expertise, global best practices, and strategic partnerships across public and private sectors. 

Its mission is to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) through knowledge management, youth empowerment and the delivery of compassionate, comprehensive, stigma-free services.

In coordination with other development partners, LSDF is implementing the ACCESS Project across designated states in Nigeria including Taraba, Ondo, Ekiti, and Enugu. 

  • The overarching goal of these interventions is to enhance access to comprehensive family planning and post-abortion care (PAC) services by addressing stigma, fostering community participation, and reinforcing health system capacities. 

This project consists of two broad intervention pathways. 

  • These are, (1) Community Engagement and Referrals for Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH) Services, focusing on demand generation and awareness creation; and (2) Domestication and Capacity Building for Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) that involves strengthening the supply side of the intervention.

Role Summary

The Driver will provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for LSDF staff, consultants, and visitors, supporting program logistics for the ACCESS Project. 

  • The role includes ensuring vehicle maintenance, compliance with road safety regulations, and assisting with minor administrative and logistical tasks as needed. 

The Driver will represent LSDF professionally, maintaining high standards of conduct, punctuality, and confidentiality. This position will report to the Logistics Officer.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.

  • Valid Nigerian driver’s license with at least 5 years of professional driving experience, preferably for NGOs or development agencies.

Proven record of safe and responsible driving.

Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and maintenance.

  • Familiarity with Abuja Road networks and major inter-state routes.
  • Good communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project implementation states.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and reliability.
  • Punctual and flexible with changing schedules.
  • Courteous and professional in dealing with staff and external partners.
  • Team-oriented and able to work under minimal supervision.
