Network of People Living with HIV and AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN) was established in 1998 as a non-governmental Organization to serve as a collective voice of PLHIV in the Country. 

  • The Organization is registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria in September 2004. 
  • NEPWHAN is now Seventeen (17) Years Old as a vibrant patient community network.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abuja for a Lead Consultant.

  • The Lead Consultant will be responsible for overseeing HIV-related programs, coordinating support groups, providing leadership for advocacy initiatives, and collaborating with constituent bodies to address the needs of the network's members.

The role involves facilitating planning sessions, monitoring program implementation, analyzing data, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications

Program Management and Strategic Planning skills, including the capability to coordinate large-scale initiatives and monitor program progress

  • Advocacy, Stakeholder Engagement, and Partnership Development expertise to drive HIV policy development and program collaboration
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS programming, community health, and experience working with patient-focused networks or similar organizations

Strong Communication, Report Writing, and Presentation skills for clear and impactful messaging

  • Problem-Solving and Analytical abilities to address program challenges and evaluate outcomes effectively
  • Proficiency in Project Management and Team Leadership, with the ability to guide and motivate diverse teams
  • Prior experience in the non-profit or healthcare sector and familiarity with Nigeria's healthcare policies is an added advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a dynamic and evolving organizational setting
