Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief Initiative Nigeria (LTR), formerly known as Netherlands Leprosy Relief (NLR) Nigeria, is an indigenous non-profit NGO. 

  • The organization is passionate and committed to Leprosy and Tuberculosis control in Nigeria. 
  • From 1978 to 2017, LTR was a regional office of NLR Amsterdam. 
  • The entity LTR was incorporated in 2018 and still partners with NLR in Nigeria, to achieve a leprosy-free world.

Job Summary

The State Technical Assistant (STA) will coordinate all aspects of monitoring and evaluation and contribute strategically to the success and impact of the overall Global Fund GC7 Project. 

  • He/she is critical in driving evidence-based decision-making and fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement in the state of implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Under the coordination of the STO, the State TB/HIV Technical Assistant will:

Service Scale-Up Oversight:

Provide day-to-day oversight for the scale-up of community TB/DRTB, HIV, and PPM services across the state.

  • Coordinate with all the ad-hoc field workers engaged by SRs to ensure effective service delivery.

Seamless Coordination and Data Reporting:

Support the STO in ensuring seamless coordination and robust data reporting.

  • Work closely with cluster coordinators and LGA TB/HIV reporting structures.

Knowledge Transfer and Capacity Building:

Collaborate with the state STBLCP and SASCP to facilitate knowledge transfer and capacity building as TB and HIV service integration is being scaled up.

  • Build the capacity of existing state TB and HIV structures toward program sustainability.

Data Collation and Analysis:

Collate and analyze program data following LGA validation of TB and HIV data.

  • Identify the gaps in providers, facilities, and LGAs and develop remedial actions.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in statistics, demographics, public policy, international development, economics, public health or related field.

Master’s degree or bachelor’s plus an advanced certificate in M&E will be an added advantage.

  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in M&E position responsible for implementing M&E activities in public health projects.
  • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports.
  • Experience in digital/mobile data collection tools.
  • Proven ICT skills, especially in the development of MIS software using database software
  • Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software such as MS Excel, Stata and SPSS for project implementation.
