How To Link Your YEIDEP Fidelity Bank Account With Tax ID Or NIN

The Nigerian Tax Administration Act (NTAA) 2025 has introduced a new compliance requirement that affects all bank account holders,

including beneficiaries of the Youth Empowerment and Innovation Development Programme (YEIDEP) using Fidelity Bank.

  • According to the directive, all bank accounts must be linked to either a Tax Identification Number (Tax ID) or a National Identity Number (NIN). For customers without a Tax ID, linking with NIN is mandatory.

This policy will officially take effect on January 1, 2026.

Why You Must Link Your YEIDEP Fidelity Bank Account

If your Fidelity Bank account is not linked to a Tax ID or NIN before the deadline, the account may be restricted from transactions.

  • This means you could be unable to receive YEIDEP payments, make transfers, or access your funds.
  • To avoid any disruption, Fidelity Bank advises all customers to update their account details as soon as possible.
