Are you passionate about promoting free, fair, and credible local government elections?
- BBYDI is calling on committed volunteers to participate in its Election Observation Mission for the FCT Area Council Elections taking place on 21st February, 2026.
Requirements:
- Must be a resident of any Area Council within the FCT.
- Strong commitment to neutrality and non-partisanship.
- Willingness to contribute to democratic accountability.
- Must be available for pre-election briefing and Election Day deployment.
Important Notice to All Applicants
Please note that the election observer role is a volunteer position and not a paid job.
It is intended for active citizens who are willing to contribute to the integrity of the electoral process.
- However, to support communication during the assignment, an airtime reimbursement of a minimum of ₦5,000 will be provided.
- By proceeding to complete this application form, you confirm that you understand and accept these terms.
- Also, be informed that selected observers will be assigned to observe the election at the polling unit closest to them within their ward; typically the same polling unit where they would ordinarily cast their vote.
