VentCope Relief Initiative (VentCope) is a Survivor-led Non-Governmental Organisation committed to strengthening mental and psychosocial health for immediate recovery and sustained wellbeing. 

• At VentCope, we work at the intersection between humanitarian response and sustainable development, addressing the period of recovery where survivors, responders, and communities struggle to rebuild after emergencies.

We are seeking Programme Assistants (Volunteer) to join our team in Abuja. 

• These roles offer an opportunity to contribute to impactful Mental and Psychosocial Health programs and gain valuable experience.

Location: Abuja

Employment Type: Volunteer

Responsibilities:

Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and field activities.

Promote awareness of VentCope’s programs within the community.

• Maintain databases, manage files, and keep records related to programs and beneficiaries.
• Draft reports, proposals, and other essential documents.
• Assist in writing grant proposals and identifying funding opportunities.
• Compile reports to assess program effectiveness and suggest improvements.
• Represent VentCope and advocate for its mission.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Team Lead.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong IT skills.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of local community structures and dynamics.
• Ability to travel and work with diverse groups.
• Proficiency in English and working knowledge of Hausa.
• Applicants must be based in Abuja.
• Personal computer/laptop required.
