AFRISE Challenge 2026 Startup Accelerator (Access to $600,000+ in Technology Credits)

Applications are now open for the AFRISE Challenge 2026 Startup Accelerator organised by Hindsight Ventures in partnership with Concordia University.

  • The programme invites young African entrepreneurs building innovative and scalable startups to participate in a global accelerator designed to support technology-driven ventures across the continent.

The AFRISE Challenge aims to empower youth founders who are developing solutions that can drive economic growth, create jobs and address pressing social and economic challenges in Africa.

Why This Matters

  • African startups continue to play a key role in driving innovation and solving complex problems across sectors such as finance, agriculture, healthcare and climate technology. However, many early-stage startups struggle to access the resources, mentorship and networks needed to scale their solutions.
  • The AFRISE Challenge provides founders with access to technology resources, expert mentorship and international exposure that can help strengthen their ventures and expand their impact across the continent.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old and must be founders or team members of a startup developing a scalable solution.
  • Applicants must also reside in one of the eligible African countries, including Nigeria, Uganda, Morocco, Kenya, Rwanda, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal.

Funding and Benefits

Selected startups will gain access to over $600,000 in technology credits provided by global technology partners including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, IBM and Canva.

Participants will also take part in a four-week virtual accelerator and venture development bootcamp designed to help founders strengthen their business models, refine their strategies and prepare for investor engagement.

  • The programme also offers mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs, investors and industry professionals.
  • Participants will benefit from international exposure and networking opportunities with potential investors and ecosystem leaders.
  • At the end of the accelerator, the top 15 startups will be invited to pitch their ventures at a Global Virtual Demo Day, where they can compete for grant funding and equity-based investment opportunities.

Application Deadline: March 27, 2026.
