Intersex Nigeria (Center for Healthcare Development and Youth Empowerment) is an intersex-led and focused Non-Governmental Organization in Nigeria.
- We promote and advocate for the sexual reproductive health, self-determination, bodily autonomy, and overall human rights of intersex people in all diversity in Nigeria.
- Through community building, advocacy, evidence-based research, empowerment, educational and informational resources on intersex-related issues to the public, partners, stakeholders, and our community.

About the position
Intersex Nigeria (Center for Healthcare Development and Youth Empowerment) is an intersex-led and focused organization that promotes the visibility, inclusion, bodily autonomy, sexual and reproductive health including mental wellbeing, and human rights of intersex persons in Nigeria.
- In Nigeria, young people in their diversities face significant challenges, including marginalization, discrimination, and violence.
- The Engage Encourage and Empower (EEE) program aims to address these systemic issues by providing life competency skills and mental health support to young individuals of diverse SOGIESC (18-25 years) in Abuja and Lagos.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Facilitation & Communication: Strong facilitation and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage participants using participatory and inclusive methodologies.
- Report Writing: Excellent report writing and documentation skills, with the capacity to present information clearly, accurately, and concisely.
- Training Material Development: Proven ability to design and develop user-friendly training materials, toolkits, and learning resources.
- Cultural Competence: High level of cultural competence and sensitivity, particularly in working with intersex persons and other marginalized communities.
- Community Engagement: Demonstrated experience engaging diverse and marginalized populations in community-based or advocacy-focused settings.
Digital Advocacy: Solid understanding of digital advocacy, online engagement strategies, and participatory learning approaches.
- Inclusion & Safeguarding: Strong awareness of inclusion, confidentiality, safeguarding, and diversity principles, with the ability to apply them in practice.
Employment Terms
Duration: 2 days for Digital Empowerment Workshop (10th and 11th April 2026) + 9 weeks for Life Competency Skills Training (April 18th - June 13th 2026)
Location: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos State, with one consultant in each state
Remuneration for Two Day Digital Empowerment on Advocacy Workshop:
- N300,000 (Three Hundred Thousand Naira Only)
Remuneration for Nine Weeks Life Competency Skill Training:
N1,350,000 (One Million, Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira Only)
Payment Structure: 70% initial payment prior to commencement; 30% upon completion of all deliverables
Note:
The Facilitator will be responsible for their transportation to and from the training venue
