Field Officers (entry-level) at New Incentives
Job Summary
New Incentives - All Babies Are Equal (NI-ABAE) is seeking Field Officers to expand its operations to prevent child mortality in Jigawa, Katsina, and Zamfara States in Nigeria.
- This position is strictly for contingency purposes and to identify candidates for future scaling (potentially).
- The Field Officers will support the New Incentives program, which uses cash transfers to encourage mothers to complete their infants' immunization schedules.
- The program operates in cooperation with the State Primary Healthcare Development Board in all states where it operates.
- The primary duty in the role will be enrolling beneficiaries at public clinics.
Field Officers are hired full-time and work at clinics throughout Jigawa, Katsina, and Zamfara State
Key Duties:
- Enrolling beneficiaries at remote public clinics
- Monitor immunization services at your clinic
- Interact with clinic staff and beneficiaries
- Assist with other duties related to the program
Required Qualifications:
Fluency in local languages and dialects spoken in Jigawa, Katsina, or Zamfara State, especially Hausa.

- Nigerian national already based in Jigawa, Katsina, or Zamfara State.
- Minimum of a National Diploma, ideally a bachelor's degree, preferably in health or another natural science.
- Willingness to work at remote public clinics a few days per week and to take public transportation to reach them.
- Experience with the Nigerian health system and clinic documentation, particularly related to infant health and vaccinations.
- Experience collecting, synthesizing, and drawing conclusions from health data is desirable.
- Careful attention to financial matters and fund management
- Detail-oriented, diligent professional
- Passion for helping others and reducing infant mortality
- Strong communication and writing skills in English, Hausa, and dialects (verbal and written)
- Excellent responsiveness to email and phone requests
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel, internet browsers, smartphones, and new communications technology in general
- Hardworking, results-oriented, and loyal
