Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency AKY Health Fellows Application
The Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency is inviting applications from qualified individuals to serve as ad-hoc staff under the AKY Health Fellows initiative.
- This engagement supports the agency’s upcoming mass enrollment of vulnerable populations into the state healthcare scheme across all 484 wards in the 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen access to healthcare services and expand community participation in the Basic Health Care Provision Fund programmes.
- Selected applicants will play an important role in supporting community-based health insurance enrollment and promoting awareness of the scheme.
Successful applicants will be expected to perform the following responsibilities:
- Register new beneficiaries into the state health insurance scheme
- Provide community sensitization on the Basic Health Care Provision Fund programmes
- Conduct advocacy visits to community leaders and gatekeepers including Ward Development Committees within assigned communities
- Support community engagement activities aimed at increasing enrollment and awareness of the health scheme
Applicants must be willing to work within their Local Government Area of residence and collaborate with community stakeholders to achieve enrollment targets.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must possess a Diploma, Degree, or HND qualification
- Applicants must reside within the Local Government Area where they intend to serve
- Applicants should have good communication skills and the ability to engage with community members
- The application process is open to residents across all 44 Local Government Areas and 484 wards in Kano State.
