Applications are open for Cohort IV of the CcHub–Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship Program 2026, an innovation acceleration initiative that supports early-stage education technology (EdTech) startups with up to $100,000 in equity-free funding, mentorship, and ecosystem support. 

This opportunity is ideal for founders building impactful, scalable technologies that improve learning outcomes and expand access to quality education across Africa.

  • Organised by Co‑creation Hub (CcHUB) in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, this fellowship targets ventures innovating for learners who are often underserved by mainstream educational technology - including learners with disabilities, refugees, rural communities, and girls and women.

What the Fellowship Offers

Selected EdTech startups will receive:

  • $100,000 in equity-free funding
  • 12-month incubation and acceleration support
  • Mentorship from education and technology experts
  • Technical guidance and product optimisation
  • Ecosystem connections with investors and partners
  • Strategic advice to strengthen growth and sustainability

This support is designed to help founders refine solutions, scale user impact, and prepare for long-term sustainability without giving up ownership of their companies.

Who Should Apply

This fellowship is open to EdTech startups that:

Are focused on improving learning outcomes and access to quality education

Are early-stage with a working product or prototype

  • Have a solution that can scale and solve real challenges in education delivery
  • Are prepared to commit to a 12 - month accelerator journey and engagement with mentors and partners
  • Startups building solutions for underserved learner groups - such as people with disabilities, rural learners, displaced populations, or girls and women - are especially encouraged to apply.

Programme Duration: 12 months of structured acceleration and support.
