State Focal Person Vacancy at Productive Youths Development Initiative


The Productive Youths Development Initiative is launching the Arewa Youth Survey, a major regional effort aimed at gathering the perspectives of young people across Northern Nigeria. 

  • This initiative focuses on key areas such as governance, health, education, and community development, with the goal of amplifying youth voices and influencing positive change.

To support this effort, the organization is inviting applications for State Focal Persons across the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory. 

Location:

  • Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, Yobe, Adamawa, Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, and the Federal Capital Territory Abuja. 

Only one focal person will be selected per state.

Responsibilities:

State Focal Persons will coordinate data collection activities within their state, engage with youths and key stakeholders, and represent their state in this high impact regional project. 

  • They will also contribute to ensuring that accurate and meaningful data is gathered to support advocacy and development planning.
  • This opportunity is open to youth leaders, students, graduates, members of civil society and non governmental organizations, and individuals who are passionate about development in Northern Nigeria.
  • Participants will gain valuable experience in research, leadership, and advocacy. 
  • They will also benefit from increased visibility, professional networking opportunities, and recognition for their contributions. 
  • Although this is a volunteer role, selected individuals will receive some monthly incentives to support their activities. 

Qualification:

Applicants must possess a Diploma, NCE, Degree, or HND in any relevant field.
