The John Snow Inc (JSI), in collaboration with JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc., is implementing a Routine Immunization Project aimed at strengthening vaccination systems and improving access to life-saving vaccines across Nigeria. 

• As part of this initiative, JSI is recruiting qualified professionals to serve as State ACSM Officers (Consultants) in Enugu State, Kaduna State, Kano State, and Rivers State.

This consultancy role, spanning five months (May–September 2026), is designed for individuals with a passion for public health and community engagement. 

• The selected consultants will support Advocacy, Communication, and Social Mobilization (ACSM) activities, which are critical to increasing immunization uptake, especially among zero-dose and under-immunized children in hard-to-reach communities.
• Working closely with state teams and reporting to the ACSM Advisor in Abuja, the consultants will lead the planning and implementation of ACSM strategies, engage community stakeholders, and promote awareness of vaccination campaigns. 

They will collaborate with community leaders, ward development committees, and local partners to address vaccine hesitancy and strengthen demand for immunization services.

• The role also involves contributing to project reporting, documenting success stories, and supporting adaptive learning processes. Consultants will represent JSI in relevant meetings at the local government and community levels, ensuring strong relationships with stakeholders and effective programme delivery.

Qualification:

Applicants must have a minimum of three years’ experience in ACSM or related public health interventions, along with a degree in public health, behavioral sciences, communication, or a related field.

• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as well as fluency in English and local languages relevant to the assigned state.
