  • The foundation contributes to legislative and policy action that promotes the rights of PWDs, and effective mainstreaming of inclusion.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Corporate Services and Compliance Officer

Location: Central Business District, Abuja (FCT) 

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

Managing the organisation’ s legal portfolio, instruments, and compliances.

  • Responsible for overseeing the formulation and consistent implementation of organisational policies, strategies, plans, and processes to align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Overseeing all communications, IT, branding, and public relations.
  • Coordinating of all functions within the organisation, including maintaining a positive organisational culture, staff recruitment, welfare, continuous training and development, performance appraisal, staff discipline, exit procedure, et cetera.
  • Representing the organisation on internal and external matters, including negotiations, seminars, public hearings, and other events.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits to identify and address potential issues.
  • Provide guidance on corporate governance matters.
  • Facilitate and support board meetings, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Maintain corporate records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on various legal matters affecting the organization.
  • Review and draft contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries

Oversee vendor relationships, and other corporate services.

Any other duties assigned.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division and call to the Nigerian Bar.

  • Minimum of 7 years post-call experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal frameworks.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organisational management capability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant digital tools.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

High level of attention to detail and professional integrity.

Desirable Skills:

Strategic Communication & Planning

  • Experience working within NGOs, donor-funded projects, or highly regulated sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Boards and senior management on governance and strategic decision-making.
  • Exposure to procurement processes, contract management, and vendor compliance oversight.
  • Stakeholder & Donor Communication
