Field Enumerators (Data Collection) PPR Alert MVP Research Project
The Green Growth & Agribusiness Innovation Foundation (GGAIF) is inviting qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the role of Field Enumerator for a baseline survey under the PPR Alert MVP Research Project in Kano State, Nigeria.

- The project focuses on gathering high-quality, reliable data that will inform program design, policy decisions, and interventions within the agricultural and livestock sectors.
Role Overview:
Selected enumerators will be responsible for conducting field surveys and collecting accurate data from respondents in designated communities.
- They will work closely with the research team to ensure that all data collected meets the required standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct household and community-level surveys using structured questionnaires
Accurately record responses using digital data collection tools such as smartphones or tablets
- Ensure proper understanding of survey instruments before field deployment
- Maintain professionalism and ethical standards during interactions with respondents
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of all collected data
- Participate in training sessions and briefing meetings prior to data collection
- Report daily progress and challenges to field supervisors
- Adhere strictly to project timelines and guidelines
Requirements:
Prior experience in field data collection, surveys, or similar research activities is required
- Familiarity with the target locations (Sumaila, Takai, and Gaya LGAs) is highly preferred
- Must be fluent in Hausa language, with the ability to communicate effectively with local communities
- Basic smartphone literacy is required; experience with KoboToolbox or similar data collection platforms is an added advantage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in rural or field settings
- Physically fit and willing to travel within assigned communities
Additional Information:
- Successful candidates will receive training prior to the commencement of the survey to ensure proper understanding of the data collection tools and methodologies.
- Enumerators will be expected to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and commitment throughout the duration of the project.
