The Kano State Government has opened its Empowerment Portal for applications into various training institutes aimed at equipping young people with practical and employable skills.
Application Overview
- Batch A will admit 3200 beneficiaries only
- Batch B and Batch C applicants will be considered after Batch A training is completed
- Screening will be conducted separately for each batch

- Poultry Institute 600 slots
- Corporate Security Institute 500 slots
- Informatics Institute 400 slots
- Entrepreneurship Journalism Institute 250 slots
- Driving Institute 250 slots
- Development Journalism Institute 200 slots
- Hospitality Institute 200 slots
- Livestock Institute 200 slots
- Horticulture Institute 200 slots
- Fisheries Institute 200 slots
- Film Institute 200 slots
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be indigenes of Kano State
- Age requirement is 18 to 35 years
- Must have a valid NIN
- Must have a bank account
- Must present an indigene certificate
- Previous beneficiaries are not eligible
- Providing false information will lead to disqualification
