About NEYIF

NEYIF is a National Non-Governmental, Non for Profit, Humanitarian and Development Organization that promotes an all-inclusive society for all.

NEYIF was established in 2013, with operational offices in North-East and North-West Nigeria, the office headquarters is in Damaturu, the capital of Yobe state.

  • NEYIF work in creating access and linking most vulnerable members of the community to humanitarian support and assistance. In the last years, NEYIF had engaged in Profiling, Identification, Registration, Tracking, Supporting and provision of humanitarian assistance to communities affected by conflict, at risk and host communities through Food Assistance, Livelihood support, Agriculture Support, Education, Health and Nutrition, WASH, Shelter, Protection, GBV, CBT and others with support of Donors (Direct or Indirect) funded project.

Project Overview

SAHaRA Phase IV is a 12-month humanitarian action implemented by Caritas Germany and consortium partners in Northeast and Northwest Nigeria.

  • The project delivers integrated, shock-responsive assistance to highly vulnerable communities across Magumeri, Gwoza, Kaga, Madagali, and Daura Local Government Areas in Borno, Adamawa, and Katsina States.
  • The action targets 41,382 direct beneficiaries, providing multi-purpose cash assistance (MPCA) to 31,770 individuals to meet urgent food, hygiene, and nutrition needs, alongside WASH infrastructure rehabilitation and construction benefiting 8,400 people.

About The Role

  • The Safety and Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of NEYIF staff, assets, premises, partners and others, as well as program activities in Katsina State, in line with NEYIF policies, donor requirements and local security guidelines.

Requirements

Relevant experience in security management or related field

  • Knowledge of security principles, risk assessment and mitigation
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • Willingness to work in Katsina State and surrounding areas.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.
