Data Collectors at Malaria Consortium

Key Responsibilities
Conduct household enumeration and interviews across selected wards.
Collect data from household heads and women aged 15–49.
- Collect information on insecticide-treated nets (ITNs), including physical condition and usage.
- Conduct back-check interviews to verify data quality.
- Use SurveyCTO on mobile devices for electronic data collection.
- Upload completed questionnaires to the server daily.
- Obtain written informed consent from respondents.
- Maintain confidentiality of respondents’ information.
- Report field challenges to the Team Leader.
Expected Work:
B1 & B3 surveys: approximately 4 households per day.
- B2 verification survey: approximately 6 households per day.
- Some selected teams will conduct additional back-check interviews.
Requirements:
B.Sc or HND in a health-related discipline or social sciences.
- 1–2 years’ experience conducting household surveys.
- Experience with electronic data collection systems such as SurveyCTO or ODK.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Fluency in Hausa and/or Kanuri and/or Fulfulde/Fulani used in the study communities.
- Willingness to attend mandatory training before field deployment.
