Job Title: Field Coordinator
Location: Katsina
Mission 1: Effectively manage and develop ACF Programming and Strategy
Tasks:
Programming management
Is responsible to promote relevant, integrated humanitarian and recovery programming in line with country strategy-
- Is responsible for the development of potential partnerships and alliances in the state.
- Is accountable for proper PCM (Project Cycle Management) in line with the projects work plans through line management of the PMs (Program Managers) and under the technical guidance of the Technical Heads of Departments (HODs), for effective projects implementation
Programming development
Examine possibilities for program expansion at both geographical and sectoral dimensions.
- Is responsible for the coordination and integration of new program assessments and evaluation recommendations in identified areas.
- Contributes to data collection and research, analysis of socioeconomic, humanitarian and security issues in the state to contribute to the definition of new Concept Notes and Proposals
- Collaborate with the Grants teams to design and submit high-quality project proposals and Concepts Notes aligned with ACF’s strategic goals, as well as producing quality and timely donors’ reports.
- Contribute to resource mobilization efforts by identifying potential donors and advocating for support to address humanitarian and development needs.
- Integrate contextual analysis in the APR on a monthly basis and in capitalization reports.
- Take notice of the sectorial orientations of national strategy and understand implications for field activities
Team management
Is responsible to lead and motivate the team.
Ensure close supervision and management of all direct reports
- Actively promote the commitment to Action Against Hunger Charter, prevent power or any sort of abuses and inform the Area Coordinator in case of frauds or any abuse.
- Organize and lead regular team meetings; and share regular updates Work out and monitor individual action plans for team members
- Manage conflict among team members
- Proactively refer to the coordination team in Abuja for any matter that could jeopardize the programs, operations, the funding or the security of staff and premises.
Additional Responsibilities

- Conduct all duties in a professional manner following ACF Nigeria mission staff regulations, ACF mandate and charter including promotion of gender equality.
Position Requirements:
Education & Experience
Degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, International Development, Humanitarian Response, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with INGOs in insecure contexts; previous ACF emergency/post-emergency experience is an asset.
Strategic Thinking & Analysis
- Ability to develop coherent and integrated strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Strong analytical skills, including interpreting data and assessing complex situations.
Professional Effectiveness
- Excellent writing, drafting, and reporting skills.
- Self-disciplined, able to work independently, and committed to effective teamwork.
