Solina Centre for International Development and Research (SCIDaR) is an indigenous nonprofit institution that works to accelerate positive health, social and economic reforms through high-quality program design and implementation, capacity building, implementation science research and knowledge generation, as well as agenda setting and stakeholder convening across human development sectors.

We are  recruiting to fill the position below:

 Job Title: NYSC  Intern

Locations

Abuja (FCT), Kano, and Lagos

Description and Objectives

The Intern will provide technical and operational support for the execution of assigned SCIDaR programs.

  • This will involve day-to-day execution of all program workflows as assigned
  • Technical Responsibilities - Program Support
  • Program implementation:
  • Support day-to-day execution of the program activities;

Education and Experience

Academic training

A First-Class Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Sciences and Technology, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Management, Economics, Management Sciences, Engineering or similar STEM courses from a reputable and accredited university;

Criteria

Applicants must either have been deployed or be scheduled for deployment under the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in Nigeria at the time of application.

  • Demonstrated strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and thought leadership abilities;
  • Advanced computer usage skills with proficiency in Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams at all levels in the organization;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
  • Fast learner, open to learning from peers, subordinates, and supervisors collaboratively and at a rapid pace;
  • Strong logical reasoning and creative thinking skills;
  • Results oriented performer, experienced in developing and tracking self and team with clear KPIs;
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
