Malaria Consortium is recruiting qualified and experienced professionals for the position of LGA Coordinator to support the implementation of the 2026 Insecticide-Treated Net (ITN) Mass Distribution Campaign across selected states in Nigeria.

  • Malaria Consortium is supporting the implementation of the 2026 ITN Mass Distribution Campaign in collaboration with the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP) and State Malaria Elimination Programmes (SMEP).
  • The LGA Coordinator will provide direct coordination, administrative support, leadership, monitoring and operational oversight of campaign activities within the assigned Local Government Area.

Key Responsibilities

The LGA Coordinator will:

Coordinate and oversee campaign activities across assigned LGAs and wards

Support training and ensure training attendance records are properly completed

  • Verify campaign personnel information and payment/account details
  • Coordinate with finance and administrative teams on payment documentation
  • Support vendor coordination and service delivery at LGA level
  • Ensure LGA stores are ready before ITN distribution begins
  • Supervise delivery and distribution of ITNs to designated locations
  • Support advocacy, community mobilization and stakeholder engagement
  • Visit at least 10 households per day in selected wards to monitor door-to-door ITN distribution
  • Provide daily feedback during campaign review meetings
  • Monitor the use of Android devices and digital health tools
  • Coordinate device and inventory management within assigned LGAs
  • Support personnel data updates on the DIGIT HCM platform
  • Monitor household distribution coverage and escalate unresolved issues
  • Ensure campaign activities comply with the National Operational Manual and Malaria Consortium guidelines
  • Identify implementation bottlenecks and support timely resolution
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Campaign Manager

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should have:

First Degree or HND in a relevant field

Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-graduation experience

  • Work-related experience with a public health organisation
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good internet navigation and Outlook skills
  • Experience using electronic data monitoring systems is an advantage
  • Previous experience in ITN or SMC mass campaigns is an advantage

Additional Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate should demonstrate:

Strong experience in malaria programmes

Experience managing public health programmes or projects at the local level in Nigeria

  • Ability to monitor, supervise and train personnel in health service programmes
  • Excellent leadership and coordination skills
  • Knowledge of malaria prevention, diagnosis and treatment
  • Previous NMEP training and experience in ITN mass distribution campaigns
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and representational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Strategic, analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to identify and address operational bottlenecks
  • Understanding of monitoring and evaluation issues related to mass ITN campaigns
  • Experience with electronic data monitoring systems
