Monitoring & Evaluation Officer at First Embrace in Kano
Role Overview
First Embrace is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to support the quality, effectiveness and impact of its Kangaroo Care programmes.
Key Responsibilities
App Based Data Collection
- Collect and manage primary and secondary data using the Dimagi CommCare app and First Embrace App
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum BSc or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
At least 3 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation of development, health or social impact programmes in Nigeria.
- Strong knowledge of current monitoring and evaluation principles and approaches.
- Experience using both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods.
- Experience collecting data using Android-based mobile applications, spreadsheets and data collection software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of data management and quality assurance or quality control.
- Ability to manage data consistently and reliably.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing programme environment and manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Fluency in Hausa.
- Advanced level English.
- Strong alignment with the values of First Embrace.
Desirable
Master’s degree or professional certification in Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Previous experience in newborn health or other health programmes.
- Previous experience working in Kano, Katsina or Northern Nigeria

Location:
- The successful candidate must be able to spend 100 percent of their working time in Kano State.
Hiring Process
The hiring process includes:

- Test task.
Interview.

Probation:
- 4 Months, With Extension Subject to Performance
Salary:
- ₦3,600,000 to ₦4,800,000 Per Year
Monthly Equivalent:
- ₦300,000 to ₦400,000
