The Fuel Subsidy Removal Palliative 2023/2024 aims to disburse $800 million to 50 million Nigerians across 36 States in Nigeria, including FCT Abuja as Palliative for Petrol Subsidy Removal.
The Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, announced that the $800 million would be the first tranche of palliatives disbursed through cash transfers to about 50 million Nigerians who belong to the most vulnerable category of society.
The cash transfers will be made available to those registered in the national social register. The registration date for the Federal Government $800 million Intervention Palliative through Cash Transfers System has not yet been announced.
