Some people are really scared of him, while others really admire him. The reason why people have these feelings towards him might be because of the things he has achieved and his views on politics.

He was born on March 29, 1952, and ever since he stepped into the world of politics and business, he started making a lot of money, very quickly. Now, he is known to be the politician with the most money in Nigeria.

Tinubu has done many big things during his time. One of the notable things is that he played a big part in stopping the PDP, a group that controlled the politics in Nigeria for a long time, about 16 years.

Now, when people talk about what’s happening in Nigerian politics today, they can’t ignore Tinubu, he is a very important person in the current scene.

Tinubu’s Biography !!

Tinubu studied at Chicago State University and then worked in the US for a bit. When he came back to Nigeria, he worked at a big company called ExxonMobil, and he made a lot of money there.

Aside from politics, Tinubu is also really good at business. He has connections with big international companies, like Oando, and we’ll talk more about this later.

Tinubu’s Political Career !!

Bola Ahmed Tinubu got into politics in 1992 when he became a senator in Lagos West, representing a group called the Social Democratic Party. But in 1993, a man named Sani Abacha stopped the Senate, so Tinubu joined another group that wanted democracy back in Nigeria.

In 1994, he had to leave Nigeria but came back in 1998 after Abacha died. This was the time when Nigeria started moving towards being ruled by its people again.

Tinubu then won a big election against two other people to become the governor of Lagos State. This was the first election after Nigeria started to change its way of ruling. During his time as governor, he tried to make Lagos a better place and often disagreed with the federal government, which was led by another political group. He managed to win again in the next election by a small margin against a person from that other group.

Even after his time as governor ended in 2007, he remained a big figure in Nigerian politics. This is because his friends often got big jobs in the southwestern part of Nigeria, and he helped create a new political group in 2013.

But his journey in politics has not been smooth. Many people question the truth of his personal story, and there have been reports in the news about him being involved in corrupt activities.

Now, Tinubu wants to be the president in the 2023 elections in Nigeria, representing his political group called the All Progressive Congress.
