Latest Npower News For Today Monday 12 February 2024

In today's Latest Npower News For Today Monday 12 February 2024, the details and outcome of the suspension of the four programs administered by NSIPA, which are NPOWER, Conditional Cash Transfer, Government enterprise and empowerment as well as the Home-Grown school feeding by President Bola Tinubu a couple of weeks ago will soon be known as the six weeks deadline for the ongoing investigation on the alleged mismanagement of funds approaches.

The suspension has led to the stoppage of all NSIPA-related activities, including but not limited to all distributions, events, payments, collaborations, and registrations were also withheld.

However, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has recovered more funds. The latest fund recovery is the N30bn from the N37,170,855,753.44 allegedly laundered in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs under the former minister, Sadiya Umar-Farouk.

Hopefully, these funds' recovery might soon lead to payment resumption of NSIP Program beneficiaries.

The EFCC is also still grilling Edu in connection with an alleged N17bn fraud, while the suspended Coordinator of the National Social Investment Programme NSIPA, Halima Shehu, is also still being questioned over an alleged N44bn fraud.

The President assured Nigerians that his administration remains committed to ensuring that the agency operates exactly as intended.
