We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Medical Doctor
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Contract: 208 working hours per month
Main Purpose
participating in emergencies and on calls if necessary.
Treat all patients, caretaker with respect and dignity ensuring safe space for beneficiaries to express concerns and authority about their health and wellbeing- take to account all relevant details and provide feedbacks/ the needed support based on the resources available.
- Active participation in the weekly presentations of medical topics for continuous medical education
- Active participation in the morbidity and mortality reviews according to schedule.
- Ensuring knowledge of updated MSF Guidelines and Protocols and Policies and implement all activities respecting the MSF policies and guidelines.
- Respect MSF IPC policy while caring for the patients to protect against cross contamination.
- Active participation in other project activities and meetings as required by supervisor.
- Respect MSF inclusion and exclusion criteria ensuring that decisions on patients’ admission, internal movements and external referrals are done within the limits stipulated in the SOPs.
- Follows the referral procedure, adhering to MSF referral guidelines seeking the validation of all referrals by the medical activity manager.
- Participate in the morning medical meeting and ensure a handover is done before leaving the service.
- Ensure punctuality in all shifts and ensure physical handover takes place between colleagues building continuity of care via mandatory documentation of orders and requests.
- Conduct and participate in medical rounds as often as necessary to ensure patient safety.
- Participate in the development of reforms in working strategies aimed at improving the general ways of working of team members.
- Prevent all forms of abuse by maintaining professionalism and reporting all forms of abuse witnessed within the facility to your line manager or other constituted authorities.
- Report all medical errors to supervisors
- Ensure flexibility in duties and be available to perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Requirements
Education: Medical Doctor with MBBS or MBChB
Experience: 2 years’ experience minimum as a Medical Doctor or in clinical work (can be within medical training).
- Desirable in tropical medicine, or post-registration experience in Public Health, obs and gynae, paediatrics, A, infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS/STDs, TB, general practice, general medicine or minor surgery.
Languages: Mission Language, English, Local language desirable

According to MSF salary scale plus 13th month allowance equivalent to 1 month of gross salary.
