SRHIN Health Equity Champions 2025/2026 Cohort


This is a voluntary program where SRHIN will train, and support emerging leaders approximately between 18-30 years of age who will be Health Equity Champions for SRHIN across different states in Nigeria. 

Slum and Rural Health Initiative (SRHIN) is a nonprofit organization that started operations in 2017 and is officially registered in Nigeria, Sierra Leone,  Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and the Gambia that improves access to healthcare information and services in Africa, especially in vulnerable and underserved communities using the tools of advocacy, research, and technology.

  • As champions, you will work closely with the SRHIN Programs team to come up with innovative and exciting ways to improve healthcare delivery in marginalized settings in Nigeria.
  • This is a fantastic opportunity to impact your community, country and the world working with a highly-visible, mission-driven SRHIN volunteers in an incredibly supportive environment. 
  • Champions will receive training on how to conduct impactful campaigns and leverage the media for increased impact.

Eligibility Criteria

Age: 18–30 years

Region: Open to applicants from Nigeria and across Africa

  • Passionate about health equity, social justice, and community development
  • Commitment to actively participate in virtual sessions and community-based activities
