TVET FME Industry Mapping Initiative (Monthly Stipend ₦33,000)
The Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja has announced the launch of the Industry Mapping Sensitization Program, aimed at connecting Technical College students with real workplace experience through the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiative.
- According to the FME, the programme invites small, medium, and large-scale industries to participate in providing hands-on training opportunities for students under the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and the Student Field Work Experience Scheme (SFWES).
- The Federal Government will cover all training fees for industries over the three-year period students spend in technical colleges.
The ministry stated, “The government will pay training fees to industries for each student during the SIWES/SFWES period, pay monthly stipends to students for the months spent in industries, and provide guidance to ensure industries can effectively train and mentor students throughout the programme.”
