Role Overview

We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Digital Communications volunteer to join our communications team.

• This volunteer will help design, curate, and distribute monthly newsletters that inform, inspire, and engage our community including mentees, alumni, and partners.
• If you love writing, digital storytelling, and finding creative ways to connect people through words and visuals, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

Prepare and send monthly newsletters to IHA’s mailing lists (general, partners, and alumni).

• Use platforms such as Zoho Campaigns and Substack to design and distribute our engaging newsletters.
• Collaborate with the IHA team to develop creative content ideas for our newsletter from community highlights to inspiring stories and practical resources.
• Write, edit, and proofread content to ensure clarity, tone, and brand consistency.
• Track and report key engagement metrics (opens, clicks, subscriptions) and suggest ways to boost subscriber growth.
• Stay updated on newsletter and digital marketing trends to improve audience engagement and reach.

Qualifications

Experience creating newsletters or writing digital content (preferably on Zoho and, Substack, or similar).

• Strong writing and storytelling skills with a knack for making content informative and fun.
• Creative thinker with an eye for visuals, layout, and audience engagement.
• Self-driven and organized, with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Passionate about women’s empowerment, leadership, and personal development.
