Crane Operator at African Natural Resources & Mines Limited(ANRML)

ANRML was incorporated in 2012 as part of African Industries Group’s plan to embark on Backward Integration for its Steel Production. 

• ANRML started its foray into Mining with the acquisition of Mining Lease in Kaduna State. 
• Subsequently ANRML has also acquired multiple Mining and Exploration licenses in various minerals in over 15 sites and exploration activities are being carried out.

Location: Gujeni, Kaduna

Job Description

• To safely operate mobile and fixed cranes to support mining, maintenance, plant operations, and logistical activities within the Central Services Department, ensuring efficient handling, lifting, and movement of materials, equipment, and heavy components.

Responsibilities

Operate mobile and overhead cranes to support mining, plant, and maintenance activities.

Perform safe lifting, moving, and positioning of heavy equipment and materials.

• Conduct daily crane inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Support maintenance teams during equipment repairs and change outs.
• Maintain crane logs, inspection records, and activity reports.
• Ensure proper use and condition of rigging and lifting accessories.
• Communicate effectively via radio and standard hand signals during operations.

Requirements

Trade Test, Technical Certificate, or relevant vocational qualification.

Certified Crane Operator (mobile crane, overhead crane, or equivalent).

• Minimum 2–5 years experience operating cranes in mining, heavy industry, or construction.
• Valid operator license and proof of competency.
• Experience with heavy lifts, rigging principles, and load charts.
