Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Manager
Location: Sokoto
Reporting to: Project Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and provide technical and methodological support to the development of the MEAL strategies, for the definition, organization and implementation of ACF/EU FPI MEAL system.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Ensure appropriate utilization of the already setup MEAL systems to guide project start-up, implementation, adjustment, accountability and learning in compliance with ACF’s MEAL Guidelines and Minimum Requirements for MEAL
- Contribute to the development of the consortium’s national MEAL strategy in coordination with the technical teams, consortium members, the Northwest Area Coordinator and under the technical guidance of ACF MEAL HOD.
Ensure the development and implementation of the program’s MEAL framework (Monitoring and Evaluation Plan)
Additional Responsibilities:
- This job description is not intended to be all inclusive and the employee will also perform other related tasks as required and responsible for reporting and communication of progress and achievement of the specific assigned task;
Maintenance of high technical standards;
- Conduct all duties in a professional manner following ACF Nigeria mission staff regulations, ACF mandate and charter including promotion of gender equality.
Position Requirements
Degree in Economics, International Development, Agriculture, Statistics, Public Health, Project Management, Demography, Monitoring and evaluation, or related subjects
- Minimum of 3 years of M&E experience, including at least 1 year in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of project cycle management and experience in community development programming, preferably in food security, economic recovery, and cash transfer
- proven ability to develop and implement communities of practice, lead research strategies, and design MEAL tools
- Skilled in facilitating training workshops (planning, tool development, capacity building) and applying participatory fieldwork methodologies
- Excellent organizational, planning, analytical and synthesis writing skills
- Proficiency in Excel, spreadsheets, and statistical software (e.g. SPSS, SPHINX) and experience with mobile data collection platforms.
