WHO are Recruiting Job Vacancies (Nationwide)

Junior Professional Officer Programme

  • The Junior Professional Officer (JPO) Programme allows young professionals to gain practical experience in multi-lateral technical co-operation at an early stage in their career.

WHO welcomes JPOs in both health technical and administrative areas of work and in country offices, regional offices and headquarters.

  • Becoming a JPO at WHO means that you will join a dedicated and committed workforce that contributes to promote health, keep the world safe, and serve the vulnerable to reach our triple billion target.

As a JPO, you will enter an exciting career journey in WHO in which we fully support your growth and development.

  • The WHO JPO Programme is sponsored by donor governments with some governments accepting applications from developing country nationals.
  • To be eligible, you will need to be a national of a donor country (except for developing country candidates), under 32 years old, hold an advanced university degree and have a minimum of two years relevant experience.

Information about the application procedure and other aspects of the JPO Programme can be found on the UNDP JPO Service Centre website.
