Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibility
Support community-based nutrition activities, including screening and identification of malnutrition cases.
Conduct household visits to promote appropriate infant, young child, and maternal nutrition practices.
- Refer malnourished children, pregnant and lactating women to designated health or nutrition services.
- Support nutrition awareness sessions, demonstrations, and community mobilization activities.
- Assist with basic data collection, reporting, and record keeping.
- Promote safeguarding, PSEA, and accountability to affected populations in all activities.
- Work respectfully with caregivers, community leaders, and health workers to improve nutrition outcomes.
Desirable skills:
- Good writing and communication skills.
- Must be organized and practical.
- Must be Fluent in Hausa and Kanuri.
- Must be Friendly and understand child safeguarding
- Must have adequate knowledge of community based nutrition activities.
- Must be organized and practical.
- Ability and skills to work with and mentor children’s groups.
