Isabena Humanitarian Aid Foundation (IHAF) is a non-profit and a non-governmental organization founded in 2020 as Isabena Foundation before its incorporated by the Corporate Affairs Commission CAC with Registration Number (CAC/IT/7410185) in 2024. 

  • Our core mission is to lift community health standards and food security through approaches encompassing core creation, advocacy, health promotion and education, community development, capacity building, program evaluation, impact assessments, needs analysis, surveys, systems strengthening, and targeted service delivery. 

Our focus extends particularly to the vulnerable and marginalized populations in Nigeria and beyond.

Job Summary

The HR Volunteer supports the organization’s human resource functions by assisting with recruitment, staff records management, onboarding, and employee engagement activities.

  • This role helps ensure smooth HR operations and promotes a positive and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with recruitment processes (posting vacancies, screening CVs, scheduling interviews)

Support onboarding of new staff and volunteers

  • Maintain and update employee/volunteer records
  • Help prepare HR documents such as contracts, offer letters, and appointment letters
  • Assist with attendance tracking and leave management
  • Support training and development coordination
  • Help organize staff engagement activities
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee information
  • Support HR policy implementation and compliance

Assist in performance management documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of HR principles and practices
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle sensitive information professionally

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • Background in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
  • Previous HR internship or volunteer experience
  • Knowledge of labor laws (basic understanding).
