Job Summary
Our organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Assistant to support our Programs in Health and Nutrition, WASH, Protection and Livelihood in Borno State.
- The Program Assistant will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of program activities under the project.
- The role ensures quality delivery of community outreach, capacity-building, data collection, and coordination tasks.
The successful candidate will work closely with community volunteers, health workers, government stakeholders, and other project team members to improve access to lifesaving project services for target populations.
Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation:
- Support the day-to-day implementation of program activities in assigned communities.
- Maintain program records and databases
- Assist with program reporting and monitoring.
Community Mobilization & Capacity Strengthening:
- Facilitate community entry, stakeholder engagement, and mobilization for program activities.
- Provide supportive supervision and mentorship to community structures
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting:
Collect and compile accurate data on health and nutrition activities using approved tools (e.g., registers, KOBO, ODK).
- Conduct regular field visits to ensure quality service delivery and compliance with project standards.
- Support MEAL teams with activity verification, success stories, beneficiary feedback, and monitoring exercises.
- Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports for the program Officer.
Coordination & Representation:
- Maintain regular communication with relevant facilities, LGA authorities, and community leaders.
- Participate in relevant coordination meetings.
- Support supply chain follow-up including requesting, receiving, and tracking program commodities and IEC materials.
Safeguarding & Accountability:
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding and PSEA policies in all program activities.
- Promote accountability to beneficiaries through feedback mechanisms and inclusive programming.
- Report any safeguarding concerns immediately following organizational procedures.
Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor`s Degree with 1 – 3 years experience.
