The FME TVET Initiative is a leading educational initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria through its Ministry of Education, designed to equip young Nigerians with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship.
- The Technical and Vocational Education Program (TVET) is one of the Federal Government Empowerment Programs to help cover the gap created by unemployment, poverty, and harsh economic policies.
The FG TVET Program is a deliberate effort of the Federal Government to invest in technical education and increase the expertise and skills of young Nigerians, job seekers, fresh graduates, school leavers, and even people with no formal education.
- Vocational Education & Innovation (VEI) Programme (1 year)

What are the Documents Required for the FME TVET Application?
You will be required to provide the following details/documents;
- Personal Details
- Bank Verification Number (BVN)
- National Identity Number (NIN)
Proof of previous education – this may be;
proof of skills acquired informally or through apprenticeship
OR
First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC)
OR
Any form of non-formal education certificate (e.g., training from NGOs, religious institutions, nomadic education or community program

FME TVET Portal Login Procedures
Step 1: The first step is to visit the tvet education gov ng website
- On the website, more details about the FME TVET Initiative are provided, including answers to your likely questions.
Step 2: Once you have read the details and are ready to proceed, click APPLY.
- You will be directed to the signup page as shown below.

Step 3: This page is the NIN verification page.
- You will be required to input your NIN number and your date of birth (DOB).
- Once you click proceed, you will then be asked to input your phone number and a valid email address.
- An SMS will be sent to your phone number with which your NIN was registered
