The African Union (AU) is currently inviting applications for the position of Junior Program Officer (AfCFTA) under the AfCFTA Secretariat.

Position Overview

Job Title: Junior Program Officer (AfCFTA)

Contract Type: Fixed-Term

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and track resource mobilization work plans

  • Support development and review of funding frameworks
  • Coordinate implementation of mobilization strategies across programmes
  • Work closely with Monitoring & Evaluation teams
  • Facilitate collaboration and reduce duplication of efforts
  • Support capacity-building initiatives for AU Member States
  • Maintain strong internal coordination and stakeholder engagement

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

Hold a degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Finance, Monitoring & Evaluation, or a related field

  • Have at least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Be able to work across diverse teams and cultural environments
  • Be proficient in at least one AU official language (English, French, Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, Kiswahili)
