The Center for Evaluation and Development (C4ED), an international research and evaluation organization, is currently seeking to engage a qualified Artificial Intelligence (AI) Expert for a high-impact, mixed-methods longitudinal evaluation project.

  • The evaluation focuses on the AI Ventures Accelerator (AIVA), a Generation Unlimited initiative designed to empower young women aged 19–24 to become AI-powered entrepreneurs across India, Nigeria, and Mexico.
  • This opportunity is ideal for experienced professionals passionate about leveraging artificial intelligence to drive youth empowerment, gender inclusion, and sustainable livelihoods.
  • The selected AI Expert will play a critical role in supporting the full evaluation cycle of the project, contributing to the generation of evidence that informs global development strategies.

The scope of work includes:

  • involvement in study design, development of survey instruments, and implementation of both quantitative and qualitative "Data Collection processes".

This encompasses baseline, midline, and endline phone surveys, as well as longitudinal qualitative interviews.

  • The role also requires expertise in data analysis, report writing, and the development of thought-leadership publications focused on AI and entrepreneurship.
  • The assignment is fully remote and will run for a duration of 14 months, from June 2026 to August 2027.

During this period, the AI Expert will collaborate with an experienced international team to deliver high-quality research outputs and contribute to building the global evidence base on gender-inclusive AI entrepreneurship.

Eligibility:

Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant field.

  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation of AI, machine learning, or data science-based projects is required, preferably within the context of international development or cooperation.
  • Candidates should demonstrate experience working in areas such as youth and women empowerment, education, or livelihoods.
  • Prior engagement with international organizations or clients - such as the United Nations, European Union, or World Bank - is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in English is also required.
