Job Title: General Manager, West Afri
Location: Nigeria ( All 36 State's)
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategic plan to drive the growth and market presence of the company in the country, aligning with global objectives and local market dynamics;
- Ensure adherence to local regulations and work closely with legal teams to comply with all standards.
- Coordinate the submission of necessary documentation and approval processes with regulatory bodies;
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, regulatory agencies, and industry associations to influence policy and advocate for favorable regulatory frameworks for the industry;
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to expand the footprint and user base within the country.
- Lead market entry strategies and manage cross-functional teams to achieve business goals;
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local stakeholders, including customers, partners, media, and community groups.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and public speaking engagements to enhance brand visibility;
- Oversee P&L and daily operations, ensuring the highest level of service and operational efficiency.
Monitor performance metrics, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Proven track record of 10+ years in a senior manager role, in a similar capacity:
- Demonstrated experience in navigating regulatory environments and working with government agencies and policy makers.
Demonstrated ability in market expansion and business development;
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams;
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively represent the company to external stakeholders and in public forums;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends to formulate strategic plans;
- Entrepreneurship mentality.
- Must be a self-starter and leader that takes ownership and is able to run an innovative sustainable operation with little guidance;
