Job Purpose / Mission

Regional Operations: This position will be part of the Mysol Sales team across any region of operation in Nigeria, supporting and enabling frontline sales agents to sell more efficiently and responsibly.

  • Employment Status: The Sales Team Lead role is not a full-time role.
  • Compensation: Position includes a base pay along with performance-based commission incentives, in line with the applicable incentive scheme notified by Mysol from time to time.
  • Flexibility: Reporting lines and duty stations may change over time to reflect the Scope of Duties and the needs of the company.
  • Core Expertise: The Sales Team Lead must possess in-depth knowledge of sales, agent recruitment and retention, team management, and proven experience leading a team.

Key Responsibilities

Agent Management & Recruitment: Recruit, train, and oversee a minimum of 10 active sales agents monthly, ensuring continuous development and achievement of performance targets.

  • Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales process of Mysol products to potential and new customers in the designated territory.
  • Financial Compliance: Supervise sales transactions and ensure timely and accurate remittance of proceeds according to company policies.
  • Credit Control: For credit-based sales, take full ownership of credit follow-ups and collection.
  • Asset Management: Oversee and manage the assigned company’s tools of trade, ensuring their proper care and maintenance.
  • Budget Optimization: Utilize allocated funds judiciously to support sales activities, maximizing their impact on revenue generation, sales volume improvement, and market expansion.
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute operational sales strategies within the assigned area, aligning with area sales targets set by the Regional Business Manager.
  • Field Leadership: Coordinate and lead field sales activities to meet sales targets and maintain high-quality sales standards.
  • Training & Coaching: Provide comprehensive training and coaching to sales agents covering key areas such as pitching, sales conversations, closing techniques, and fostering enduring customer relationships.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance evaluations for sales agents, offering constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
  • Inventory Control: Support monthly inventory audits for both the service center and Point of Sale (POS) locations in the assigned area.

Qualifications

  • National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

1 – 2 years of related sales experience.

Relevant experience in selling solar products is highly preferred.

Knowledge and skills:

Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to successfully deliver exceptional service in relation to the terms and conditions of the contract

  • Communication: Good communication skills with the ability to state messages clearly, using language that is easily comprehensible to others.
  • Core Competencies: Strong problem-solving skills, planning capabilities, highly organized, and a dedicated team player.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage relationships with different stakeholders to resolve issues of moderate complexity.
  • Adaptability: Ability to react quickly and effectively to changing priorities.
  • Must reside in the location
