Media & Communication Officer at The Straight Child Foundation
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement effective communication strategies for the Foundation's Clubfoot Program.
- Provide technical advice and communication support to the CEO, Program Manager, and other program staff.
- Maintain TSCF brand guidelines and ensure consistent messaging.
- Develop and execute digital campaigns across Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and YouTube.
- Manage the content calendar, community engagement, and analytics.
- Manage the TSCF website using WordPress, including content updates, user experience (UX), and SEO.
- Design communication materials such as reports, flyers, presentations, and infographics.
- Document program activities and beneficiary stories through photographs, videos, and written articles.
- Produce AI-powered animation videos for campaigns and donor engagement.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of progress, monitoring, and evaluation reports in line with internal and donor requirements.
- Collaborate with MiracleFeet on the development and review of communication materials for the Clubfoot Program.
- Promote and enhance the visibility of the Foundation's Clubfoot Program through social media engagement and community networks.
Support effective communication and coordination between the Foundation and Nigeria Clubfoot partners.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Communications, or a related field.
A Master's degree is an added advantage.
A minimum of three (3) years' professional experience in communication, advocacy, or program support, preferably within the NGO or development sector.
- Demonstrated experience in media advocacy campaigns.
- Strong writing, reporting, and documentation skills, with experience preparing donor or program reports.
- Experience working on health, disability, or child-focused programs is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with social media management, digital marketing, website management, and graphic design.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, and other similar media production and editing tools.
