  • FEM and its partners have implemented radio campaigns in Benin, DRC, Niger and Nigeria.
  • Its WhatsApp-based support service extends this work by providing listeners with personalised family planning information and support.

About The Role

FEM is seeking part-time Family Planning Support Agents to provide high-quality family planning information through its WhatsApp-based service.

  • Selected agents will respond to user questions, provide accurate information, maintain user records and support appropriate follow-up and referrals.
  • The role is fully remote within Nigeria, with variable hours depending on Support Centre demand.
  • Shifts may include weekdays and weekends, and schedules will be shared at least two weeks in advance.

Key Dates

Deadline: 2 October 2026

Mandatory Paid Training: 9–14 November 2026

Training Format: Remote

Regular Support Centre Shifts Begin: 30 November 2026

  • Morning and afternoon training sessions will be offered to accommodate selected candidates’ schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to user messages on WhatsApp in line with approved tone and content guidelines.

Provide accurate family planning information and support.

  • Use customer engagement and messaging platforms to manage user conversations.
  • Document user interactions, actions taken and follow-up status using approved tools.
  • Conduct follow-up check-ins with users where appropriate.
  • Escalate complex or sensitive cases to the appropriate team members.
  • Participate in quality reviews and team learning to improve support delivery.

Requirements

Fluency in English and Nigerian Pidgin.

Fluency in Yoruba and/or Igbo is an advantage.

  • Degree or professional qualification in Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health or a related field.
  • Ability to work remotely with a laptop and strong internet connection.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to support users with care, clarity and cultural sensitivity.
  • Understanding of the Nigerian context.

Working Hours

The Support Centre operates:

Weekdays: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Weekends: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

  • Agents’ shifts will fall within these service hours.
  • The number and length of shifts may vary depending on Support Centre staffing needs.
