The 2025 TAL Community Essay Competition was started by The Tech Court and the Agile Legal-Tech Network. 

  • This project gives professionals, academics, and students a forum to exchange new ideas on urgent data and technology issues.

The Agile Legal-Tech Network, in partnership with The Tech Court, has launched the TAL Community Essay Competition 2025. 

  • It provides a platform for students, researchers, and professionals to share original insights on “Data Minimisation in the Age of Big Models” while shaping conversations on responsible and ethical technology use.

How are Participants Selected

Essays will be evaluated based on originality, clarity, structure, creativity, and ability to connect technical concepts to real-world African contexts

  • Open to applicants from Nigeria and other African countries.
  • Where will the Competition be Held?
  • Nigeria (with online recognition through the TAL-Tech community and The Tech Court).

How Long Will the Competition Last

Method of Application

Write an original essay (1,500 - 2,000 words) on the set topic and submit via the official application form. 

  • All entries must be original and unpublished. Participants must also follow TAL Network on all social media platforms. One-time essay contest (2025 edition).
