Experience in humanitarian or development settings: Prior work with UN agencies, NGOs, or government institutions.

  • Soft skills: Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and cross‑cultural communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks: Familiarity with UN rules, donor reporting standards, or audit processes.

Qualifications And Experience

Education: Advanced University degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Human Resources Management, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial) or other relevant field relating to office management and administration,

  • First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses in Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Human Resources Management, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial) or other relevant field relating to office management and administration.

Experience: Two or more years of progressively senior level managerial experience post advanced degree or 5 years of progressively senior level managerial experience post first degree in the relative business stream with experience in general administrative and management services.

Language: Fluency (level C) in English language and the duty station’s language, if different.

Knowledge and Skills:

Has Expertise in resource planning, budgeting, and allocation to support operational efficiency.

  • Has familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards and practices.
  • Has excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills, including with UN agencies and governments.

Has experience in effective conflict resolution and team cohesion management.

  • Has experience in performance management, including setting goals, monitoring progress, and providing feedback.
  • Has the capacity to collaborate across functions and organizations to optimize processes.
  • Has commitment towards environmental sustainability in service delivery.
  • Has experience in one or more Management Services lines of business (for example management of assets, facilities, fleet, travel, or other).
  • Has experience working with teams across different functional areas.
  • Has experience in working with data-related concepts and tools and leveraging data-driven insights for improved decision-making and business outcomes.
  • Has demonstrated the ability to provide guidance and instruction to staff within area of expertise.
