eHealth Africa is focused on improving healthcare by creating effective ways to implement reliable health information management systems. 

  • We have developed eHealth and mHealth solutions that can be rapidly deployed to manage patient information, streamline clinical procedures, and provide data and analysis on health program outcomes. 

Accurate health data will provide NGO’s, hospitals, and donor agencies with access to timely health system indicators needed to evaluate their health interventions and respond to critical public health needs.

Purpose of the Position 

The Finance Unit ensures financial integrity, efficiency, and sustainability across eHealth Africa. It oversees budgeting, reporting, risk management, and compliance, supporting informed decision-making.

  • By implementing robust financial controls, optimizing resource allocation, and maintaining alignment with donor requirements and regulatory standards, the Finance Unit safeguards eHA’s fiscal health.
  • Through data-driven financial strategies, it enhances operational efficiency and ensures the long-term financial sustainability of the organization’s mission driven initiatives.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to successfully perform this job.

  • Accounting Strategist - Demonstrates ability to lead the implementation of financial policies that uphold data integrity, system reliability, and full compliance with regulatory and donor requirements.
  • Detail-Oriented Analyst - Maintains rigorous financial accuracy while aligning accounting operations with strategic priorities and evolving organizational realities.
  • Compliance Advocate - Ensures consistent adherence to tax laws, audit standards, statutory guidelines, and donor-specific reporting protocols.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 

  • Preferably Master’s Degree.
  • 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role, preferably within an NGO or nonprofit.
  • Proficiency with accounting reporting standards and software (e.g., NetSuite, or similar ERP systems).
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams on donor-funded projects.

Certifications and Licenses:

ACCA, ACA, CPA, ICAN certifications or the equivalent are desired
