Fairaction Nigeria are recruiting Field Research & Data Enumeration Officer
Fairaction Nigeria is recruiting qualified and community-oriented Field Research & Data Enumeration Officers to support the Oyo State Water Poverty Mapping Project.
- This project aims to generate reliable, community-level data to inform evidence-based planning and sustainable water solutions across Oyo State.
Project Locations (LGAs)
Iseyin, Oyo West, Oyo East, Ibarapa East, Afijio, Ido, Akinyele, Lagelu, Ibadan North, Ibadan North-West, Egbeda, Ona Ara, and Oluyole.
Note: Priority will be given to candidates who currently reside in any of the listed LGAs.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct field data collection, surveys, and community engagement activities
- Use digital data collection tools and GPS-enabled devices accurately
- Ensure high-quality, ethical, and timely data submission
- Work closely with supervisors to meet daily field targets
Minimum Qualification
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) from a recognized institution (any discipline)
Technical & Professional Competencies
Applicants should demonstrate:
Proven experience in field research, surveys, or community-based data collection
Proficiency in digital data collection tools (e.g., ODK, Kobo, mobile applications)
- Basic knowledge of GPS, mapping, and geolocation tagging
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Strong digital literacy and ability to operate smartphones or tablets in the field

Fluent in English and Yoruba with strong communication skills
- Detail-oriented, ethical, and reliable in handling sensitive data
- Physically fit and willing to work in rural or hard-to-reach areas
- Able to work independently and meet project timelines
- Culturally sensitive and effective team players
Availability & Commitment
Applicants must:
- Be fully available for the entire 3-month project duration
- Successfully complete a mandatory 3-day training and field practicum
- Own a mobile phone capable of capturing photos and videos
- Be willing to work strictly within assigned LGAs and follow approved field schedules and protocols
Supervision & Accountability
Officers will report to a Zonal Supervisor and the Field Coordination Team
- Daily performance, punctuality, and data quality will be monitored
- Selected candidates must sign a Code of Conduct and Data Confidentiality Agreement
