Main Purpose
The Data Entry Operator will be responsible for collecting, entering, and managing medical data in the mission database.
- The role ensures accuracy, confidentiality, and timely reporting to support healthcare teams in making informed decisions.
Reporting Line
Hierarchical: Project Manager
Functional: Technical Manager – Medical, MEAL Manager
Key Responsibilities
Enter and update patient clinical and demographic data
Ensure all data entries are authorized, accurate, and complete
- Identify and correct data errors and inconsistencies
- Compile and manage data from INTERSOS and partner health facilities
- Track and retrieve missing data records
- Maintain and update patient files regularly
- Perform routine data backups and documentation
- Prepare statistical and medical reports
- Ensure strict confidentiality of patient information
Requirements
Education
- BA/BSc in a relevant field OR equivalent experience in MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning)
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in data management within an NGO
- Experience in health data management is an added advantage
- Maintain a clean and organized data recording environment KO
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Ability to learn and use data management software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
