Job Description
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) invites applications from suitably qualified Nigerians for employment into various entry-level positions on Grade Levels 07, 08, 09, 10 and 12.
- The recruitment exercise is aimed at strengthening the Commission's institutional capacity in electoral administration, voter registration, data management, election logistics, and other critical electoral operations in furtherance of its constitutional mandate

Administrative Officer
II Position:Registration Area Officer (RAO)
Grade Level: 08 3.
Executive Officer
Position: Assistant Registration Area Officer (ARAO)
Grade Level: 07
Requisite Qualifications
Professional Cadre (Grade Levels 09, 10 & 12) Applicants must possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and Master’s Degree in the relevant field of specialization from a government-recognized institution.
Relevant professional certification where applicable, such as:
- NBA
- MDCN
- COREN
- NSE
- ICAN
- ANAN
- CPN
NYSC Discharge Certificate, Certificate of Exemption or Letter of Exclusion.
- Demonstrable practical knowledge and competence in the relevant field.
- Analytical, communication and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and digital tools.
Administrative Officer
II (Registration Area Officer)
Grade Level 08
Applicants must possess:
Bachelor’s Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or equivalent qualification in Social Sciences, Humanities or Sciences from a recognized institution.
- NYSC Discharge Certificate, Certificate of Exemption or Letter of Exclusion.
- Good knowledge of data management and record keeping.
- Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant ICT tools.
Executive Officer
(Assistant Registration Area Officer)
Grade Level 07
Applicants must possess:
National Certificate in Education (NCE) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Basic knowledge of computer operations and data handling.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under supervision within assigned Registration Areas.
Important Notice:
Candidates shall be assessed and recruited strictly based on the credentials submitted during this process.
- No upgrading of qualifications or credentials shall be entertained after the recruitment exercise.
- Multiple applications by a candidate will lead to automatic disqualification.
- Submission of false information or forged documents will attract disqualification and possible prosecution.
Requirements
Be a Nigerian citizen by birth or descent.
- Present a valid Certificate of State of Origin duly signed by the Chairman or Secretary of their Local Government.
- Certificates endorsed by Liaison Officers will NOT be accepted.
- Be computer literate.
- Be certified by a Government Medical Officer as physically and mentally fit for appointments into the Commission.
- Not be above 35 years at the point of application.
- Possesses good character and must not have been convicted of any criminal offence.
- Be willing to serve in any part of the Federation where assigned.
- Possess integrity, discipline and commitment to public service.
